The ReclaimLLM browser extension (rclm-browser-ext) captures your AI conversations directly from the browser as you have them. It runs silently in the background — there are no extra steps during a conversation, no API keys to configure, and no changes to how you use ChatGPT, Claude.ai, or Gemini. Once you’re signed in, sessions sync to your dashboard automatically.
The extension is pending Chrome Web Store review. Until it’s approved and listed, you need to install it manually in developer mode. The process takes under a minute and is outlined in the steps below.

Supported sites

Install the extension

1

Download and unzip the extension

Download the extension package from ReclaimLLM:↓ Download reclaimllm-extension.zipAfter downloading, unzip the file. Keep the extracted folder somewhere you won’t accidentally move or delete it — Chrome needs it to stay in place after loading.
2

Open the Chrome extensions page and enable Developer mode

Navigate to chrome://extensions in Chrome. In the top-right corner of the page, toggle Developer mode on.Enabling Developer mode unlocks the Load unpacked button, which lets you install extensions that aren’t listed in the Chrome Web Store.
3

Load the unpacked extension

Click Load unpacked and select the folder you unzipped in step 1.The ReclaimLLM icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar once the extension loads successfully.
4

Sign in to your RCLM account

Click the ReclaimLLM icon in your toolbar. Sign in with the same GitHub or Google account you used to create your RCLM account.Capture starts automatically the moment you sign in — open ChatGPT, Claude.ai, or Gemini and start a conversation.

How it works

Once installed and signed in, the extension runs in the background on supported sites. You don’t need to interact with it during a conversation. Sessions are synced to your dashboard automatically after each conversation ends.
  • No API keys required — the extension uses your existing browser accounts for ChatGPT, Claude.ai, and Gemini.
  • No provider reconfiguration — it doesn’t intercept network traffic or require changes to your accounts.
  • Sensitive content flagging — content that may include credentials or tokens is flagged before upload.
CLI capture remains the highest-fidelity path. The browser extension captures conversation turns, but it doesn’t have access to tool calls, file diffs, or precise token counts the way native hooks do. Use hooks alongside the extension if you also work with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or Codex CLI.

Verify it’s working

After installing and signing in:
  1. Open chatgpt.com, claude.ai, or gemini.google.com and have a short conversation.
  2. Open your RCLM dashboard — the session should appear within a few seconds of the conversation ending.
If the session doesn’t appear, confirm the ReclaimLLM icon is visible in your toolbar and that you’re signed in (click the icon to check).
