# Introducing Our New Three-Tier User System

We've launching Free, Paid, and Enterprise tiers to provide more tailored features and support as you scale your AI development workflow.

## Overview

As ReclaimLLM continues to grow, we want to ensure we have the right features and support for every stage of your AI development. We are excited to introduce a new **Three-Tier User System** that provides clear pathways for individual developers, power users, and enterprise teams. This update brings new capabilities to our paid tiers while maintaining a robust, free-to-use foundation for the community.

## How it Works

Our new tier structure is designed to match your usage needs:

1. **Free Tier**: Perfect for getting started. The Free tier includes up to 1,000 stored sessions, a 90-day data retention period, and up to 5 custom collections. It's a great way to experience the core value of RCLM at no cost.
2. **Paid Tier (\$8/mo)**: Designed for professional developers and power users. The Paid tier unlocks our advanced AI features, including automated session summarization, semantic search, and detailed diff explanations. You also get unlimited session storage, unlimited collections, and sensitive data detection to keep your secrets safe.
3. **Enterprise Tier**: Built for teams and organizations that need advanced governance. This includes everything in the Paid tier plus organizational-level API keys, role-based access control (RBAC), and centralized usage analytics for your entire team.

## Why We Made This Change

Previously, all RCLM features were available to everyone without enforcement. While this was great for our initial launch, we need a sustainable way to continue building and supporting the platform. By introducing these tiers, we can offer more advanced, AI-driven features to those who need them most while keeping the core experience accessible to everyone. This also allows us to better manage our storage and processing costs as our user base scales.

## Current Limitations and Feedback

We are rolling out this new system with a focus on transparency and ease of use:

* **Automatic Enforcement**: Storage and retention limits for the Free tier are enforced by a nightly background task. You'll receive a notification if you are approaching your session cap.
* **Seamless Upgrades**: You can view your current tier and upgrade directly from your user profile. Our system automatically syncs your access level as soon as you upgrade.
* **Organization Sync**: If you are added to an Enterprise organization, your user account is automatically upgraded to the appropriate tier to match your team's access.
* **Stripe Integration**: We are currently finalizing our full Stripe webhook integration. In the meantime, tier updates may be processed with a short delay after payment.
